Painting a fire place - heat proof paint?

Just knocked original builders whole out of breast and plan to fit wood/multifuel burner of circa 5kw output. Toying with painting the exposed brick on insides of the breast/fireplace. Do I need heat proof paint and if so what sort? Poss looking at White/off white/cream etc.. Any help appreciated?
