Looking for opinions of taste.

I have a sapphire blue 98 XJR with original Pentas on it.

I am in two minds as to whether or not I should ge the alloys refurbished and stick with the existing colour, which looks good or opt for a charcoal / anthracite colour.

I would be interested to see what people think about this, I know ultimtely taste is personal but what would look the nuts on this car ????

I would suggest a visit to the Wheel Specialist. There are various franchises around the UK. Our local office in Segensworth have a variety of wheels in all sorts of colours that you can put up against your car to see the effect.

They even have some strange colours including yellow and pink. LOL

Not sure where you are based but if you send me your location I will point you the right direction for your nearest franchise.

Thanks for the response.

Been there this afternoon and couldn't decide what looked best.

Post a photo of it on the Photo forum and ask 'Can anyone Photoshop some wheels for me'

Decided to refurb as original. Should look spot on when it comes back as they are doing the annual Swissvax "top-up" too.

Ha ha, yes.

I have finally stopped ummming and ahhhing....

Did get a £7k offer but politely rejected it despite it potentially going to a good home.

Got the Swissvax paint paint correction topped up at the same time as the alloys refurb, and it looks bloody great. Real head turner.

It cost me £330 to get the alloys done, all 5, and for that they are balanced new valves with chrome sleeves and caps on them (That won't seize on !) as well, and they look brand new and are very very easy to wash.

Those guys down at Cheshire Auto Detailing are great to deal with and know their stuff, had a genuine GT40 and a Mucielargo in there at the time and had just done a matt white vinyl wrap on a second lambo too.

They even picked me up and dropped me off !

Guess what put the lid on it was my 4 yaer old saying "I really love this car.......!" heh heh.

We'll have to get out on a run, once I can escape this madhouse I live in (Got a new baby on board....)
