Would not be at all surprised if this was on next season of Top Gear...

Just had a good giggle at this. One in the eye for the health and safety hand wringers, you'd hope.

You'd hope.

Excellent stuff.
The authority said in a statement it was deeply disappointed by the "irresponsible act that has again posed unnecessary danger and risk to both mountain users, the landscape and Hafod Eryri [visitor centre] itself".
Exactly what danger and risk is a parked car having on the landscape and the visitor centre ?

I'm thinking the new owner paid cash and hasn't yet sent off the V5...

I'm hoping this is the work of aliens with a sense of humour.

Next stop, South Col of Everest, with the hazard warning lights on.

Then they have the thing gently float past the International Space Station, sporting a Tibet Parking Authority wheel-clamp.

Is it against the law to drive up there?

Or just trespass?

First bloke who did it was charged with Dangerous Driving, which is a little rich.

Perhaps that is why it's up there again.

Do you not have to be on a 'public highway' to get charged with a traffic offense?!

Lol... it came back to haunt them.

Keep it up there i say, it obviously liked it up there.

I find it intetesting how they claim that pedestrians were in danger... yet nobody saw it go up

i really hope not.

to be honest i actually feel for the 4x4 drivers who drive legally on greenlanes etc. they wil lall get tarreed with the same brush if it continues and I can see another access war kicking off and lots of irate walkers/cyclists turning on the drivers who are using appropriate and legal roads/access. the ones i have met on the hills have been safe and courteous though they dont like being betaen downhills by mountain bikers wink

Or maybe we should dump a few rusting Fronteras around Chipping Norton, that might get a reaction?!

It must be Aliens, there's no way a knackered old Frontera's could make it to the top of Snowdon! wink

Green laning is going to be banned due to the vocal minority as nothing other the a 2 foot tall landrover wheel could create a 3 foot deep trench

Last time I was on the summit there, it was 'buzzed' by a Hawk jet from RAF Valley on Anglesey.

Pilot was so close I and other people up there were waving to him and could see him waving back. Everyone thought it great fun, but I'd say it was at least as dangerous as some scrote driving an old Wanxhaul up the railway, IMHO.

given that Rupert has had millions of pounds invested in his training and millions more spent on the maintenance of the plane, I would say flying it near the summit of snowdon is considerably safer than Barry in his Frontera of dubious build quality driving up a mountain at night.
