Its our 2nd anniversary this Monday and I'd quite like to go out for a nice meal somewhere in Berks. I'm not after something too fancy, cosy and homely cooking would be good.
The Mrs is due to drop thebabyfold in a month so she'd not want anything too fancy.

Thanks for the suggestions, they all seem to be along the right kind of lines.
flimper, your suggestion doesn't look too fancy, just a bit more pricey than the others. What I'm trying to avoid is anywhere that she'll feel like she has to 'dress up' for, she doesn't have much in the way of nice stuff to wear at the moment due to the little person inside her!

Buratta's at The Royal Oak in Ruscombe is always a safe bet, nice and relaxed.

I've driven past that hundeds of times, always assumed it was one of these pubs that's now a Thai/curry house. http://www.burattas.co.uk/

If you're in Maidenhead I would really recommend the Emperor of India by the Esso garage on the Braywick roundabout. I know, it doesn't sound salubrious but the food is IMO the best in the area. The owner's wife does wonderful flower arrangements and the service is really friendly. Belgian Arms
It's a popular get together with the SASer's, I believe they were there this afternoon
We've had lots of lunches there and had out first evening meal there not so long ago and has always been very pleasant, food is great and a nice relaxing atmosphere
Oh and good luck with the pregnancy, we have 2 weeks to go

p.s. nice for a summer's evening is The Beehive in White Waltham. Perfect setting opposite the village cricket green, small planes buzzing overhead from the airfield, real ales, a public bar as well as the restaurant and very good food too. Not got any Michelin stars like Parkies or Hestons pubs but it's a pub not a poncey gastro-experince that sells beer at £3.99 pint 
Oh and it's got a decent sized car park if you happen to take a few nice motors.
