Are there any Swedish House Mafia fans on here?

60,000 Tickets have just been released today for the Milton Keynes Bowl July 14th 2012

I saw them in Pascha Ibiza this year and was a great set!

I like One. I also like something else they did. Do they do anything without a buzzing synth sound, though?

I used to be a big fan of them before all the hype started in the last year with the release of One, then Miami2Ibiza. They have went too commercial - the next David Guetta IMO.

It appears their gigs are being taken over by the young chav type cheesey ravers, the sort of people who go to Magaluf etc and every gig is seen as an excuse to get off their faces.

One of their "One night only" gigs was up here in Scotland at the start of the year and there were actually people complaining because "I've no heard them play anything a know, a mean FFS, they havent even played any Rihanna"


You only have to read some of the comments on the SHM Facebook page to see the type of people that are frequenting these gigs.

In fairness to them, that does mean they haven't gone properly commercial.

I hate myself for liking their material, but the last track (who's going to save the world), was refreshingly crap.

This... They were always rather on the commercial side, but it's got ridiculous of late - there was at least one story of clubs and clubbers being held to ransom over inflated ticket prices by SHM (and I mean held to ransom - club had set ticket prices, clubbers bought tickets, clubbers were suddenly told they have to fork our more or their ticket won't be valid, club backed down, SHM didn't show - all smells rather fishy!)

Regardless of the rumours and the truth behind them, they're just not that special when it comes to the art of playing records to command the ridiculous premium their nights are asking for... Sorry!

Around the release of "One", did they not move or join up with Virgin Records or something to do with Bransons label?

There's a lot of talent out there at the minute who are ruining themselves by trying to fit in with what their labels think the "fans" or public want. Tiesto was the same, then his sound started changing and now a lot of his stuff is more radio orientated than the previous big club hits.

Its all motivated by money and greed at the end of the day. Shame really as some of these guys were really taleted before the size of their heads ballooned.
