I've had a stainless steel plant pot delivered with bubble wrap taped round it.

In a couple of places the tape has been on the metal and peeling it off has left a bit of the tape.

Suggestions to get it off without marking the pot?

Better to use avon skin so soft spray which does a great job and smells better. Also a great midge repellant.

WD40 (as previously mentioned), white spirit, methylated spirits or acetone will all do the job, in ascending order of gunk removal capability...
