SL55 AMG Air con

Has anybody had an issue with the air con were you switch it on and the
light on the switch flashes 3 times and then stays lit so no air con ?
Tried having the air con regassed and it holds pressure fine but just doesn't
want to switch on. Anybody had a similar issue before I put it in to be looked
at?

you need to erase the fault memory if you have regassed it and it still doesnt work

Cheers for that, Have tried my own code reader but looks like it doesn't monitor A/C so will leave it now
Until it goes in for service and get them to have a look at it then.

could clear if you take the battery off for half hour but have never tryed it

As quoted you'll have to have the car plugged onto the Mercedes Star diagnosis laptop or an equivilant computer with access to the AAC (automatic climate control module) & then access the fault codes & erase the fault memory. The a/c system should then work. As far as i can see when the a/c sytem pressure drops below a certain limit the control module blocks any operation of the a/c system until the system is interrogated & the fault rectifed & the fault memory erased. I've come across this problem on many occassion & its always sorted the problem by erasing the fault memory.
