Hi

Well today I had a bit of worrying news!

I have been having phsyo on my foot sinces it came out of plaster a month ago!
I was at the phsyo today and she declared that my foot has not improved as much as she hoped!
To the point she says that driving a manual car is not helping! So I have been told that in the short time I must refrain from a driving a car with a clutch for a while!
If I don't then I might end up with not being able to drive a manual car at all.

Well that's as you can imagine has left me completly gutted! yikes

I could also end up having to change jobs and selling some of my TVR's. weeping

This will mean that my 280i auto will have to be sorted sooner than later!

Well that's Sundays tunnel run out, to start with!

Sorry to hear that Andy, rest the foot for a while and you will be back on the clutch before long.

Dave.

you could allways convert the clutch to be operated by hand on the steering wheel?

Thats not nice news to hear MR T, I hope the foot sorts its self out for you.
The older you get the longer it takes too heel...

I do like the electro switch cluch leaver on the gear stick, a bit like Audi created on one of there Quatrro 80"s rally cars.
I wonder what it would cost to fit...scratchchin

Andy I will help you engineer a hand operated clutch if that's what it takes!

Bummer but it can be sorted in the long run.

Hi

Thank you all for your good wishes

Now how do I sort out getting three TVR's, clutchless?

Just thinking out of the box but what if you use the clutch pedal with your heel instead of the ball of your foot? Might need to change the pedal shape to prevent you slipping back to the old way but it would be much easier to engineer and might feel more natural after a week or two.

Swap go pedal and clutch pedalbiggrin, it'll never be stolen.

option 2 Button on top of gear stick that ops a hydraulic solonoid. It would require a small pump, but quite doable.

option 3 Corvette with paddle shift. You would have to burn some exhaust note CDs to play while driving as you would miss the sound.

Best option though.....foot recovers.

Get well soon Andy. Best to bite the bullet in the short term rather than risk long term trouble.
