If the BIB have a scamera van/ mobile speed camera set up on a certain stretch of road does there have to be signs showing that there could be cameras on that road. I seem to remember reading that if speed checks are carried out by camera, that road must have the white sings with a picture of a camera on it, warning you that it could be possible that the road ahead could have a mobile camera along it.

I'm not sure either, but 90% of mobile traps i have seen have not had any warning signs.

Don't believe the government lies on the subject; they are purely spin in an attempt to portray the policy as being one which it is not.

The rules to which you refer are only 'guidelines' and have no effect in law.
