Mrs Bazza has had the Cerb today, she reported that it sounded something was "dragging" on the fllor, we both suspected exhaust clamp maybe knackered.
I have arrived home and the whole back end of the car is sat lower than it should be, rear wheel tucked up right inside the arches but there is still "some" travel left on suspension when i push back end down.
I am seriously worried, what could it be? Please try and avoid the obvious responses about our little modelling session last week but I appreciate they will be the obvious answers! lol

OK, wheels are off, rear left shock has collapsed!! The whole rear of the car has sunk evenly is this normal if only one shocker has gone or has something bent? Please let me know, also how easy are the shocks to remove for someone with all the tools but NONE of the know how?

I mean I am a COMPLETE NONengineer.....is it a simple matter of undoing top and bottom bolts or is the whole thing under pressure from the spring? The shoock has snapped and the spring is bent so I don;t want anything flying off and damaging me or the car...please chaps, I need to get it off and get me a new one ASAP she is my daily car!

dont try and work on it yourself!!! It isnt for a novice.
If they are original TVR shocks then do NOT replace them with new TVR ones. They are crap and expensive.
Either get 2 new AVOs for the back (cheaest option) or Nitrons all round (more expensive) (or AVOs all round).
Drive the car slowly to an indiependent OR get it low loaded (better option).
I reckon you should get it sorted for under £350 at an indie eg APM.

don't touch anything, that spring is a time bomb waiting to take your head off .. don't put the wheel back on, don't even walk near it, put something around the car to stop people taking a look ..
get it transported to your nearest indie as suggested above .. and let the recovery people or the person you're taking it to make the car safe.

I'd drop him an email first, he's very very good, as a result he's often stacked out with work. All IMHO of course.

Hope you get it fixed soon.

Hi Joolz, I think YOU ARE my nearest Indy, if I get AA to bring her to you can you fit a pair of AVO's for me? I'll go and ring them now but I need to know where to tell them and your website is down...its as if you just rode in on a white charger while I was sat here crying lol

I've set up a four mile exclusion zone around my car police and fire services evacuating surrounding villages as we speak...I told Bruce Willis Joolz was dealing with it and he bowed to his superior knowledge!! Joolz, just let me know where you are, I know roughly but need to let the very nice man know!!

Is Daventry too far south? If not then try Steve at Guglielmi Motorsports Ltd. 01327 878425

Not sure about the AVO's but my only other suggestion would be H L Gorner, Wigan Rd, Ashton-in-Makerfield (Wigan-ish)

Bad Luck, hope you get it sorted soon.
