Taken from TVRMONSTER site,

The Spa TVR Festival Of Racing 2011,

You may already be aware but the news is that TVR’s are returning to Europe’s premier race circuit at Spa Francorchamps.

Dulford Automotive will be there for the whole weekend supporting Perry Waddams (Tuscan 77) Andy Race (Tuscan 89) and Dan Birch (Griffith 66) in their TVR campaign.

As well as some very exciting racing all weekend including Dutch Super Cars, GT Cup, Lotus European Championships, Caterham European Championship .

Our TVR racers will be running in The Spa Sports Car Race and will be joined by Mike Saunders in the Cerbera GT and Danny Winstanley in his new 4.5 Sagaris - Both guys having a busy weekend competing in both races

Well there were 5 Tuscans in sports and GTs
Me Perry Waddams, Tim Davis and Graham Walden (who ran the race race-at-spa.com) in RV8 Tuscans and Jamie Golby and Dean Cook sharing an A ajp Tuscan.

True, I was running to strategy, and was killed by a safety car, but it fell nicely for Perry who took the win in the other Dulfords Tuscan. Tim Davis also ran really well taking fastest B lap in his Tuscan...which he only bought a month ago and on his first trip to Spa! Dean Cook Took the lead from me just before I pitted. Not with it at all in Qually, Deano hooked it all up when it mattered to take the lead from 8th on the grid, he also was mugged by the safety car.

Pics tomorrow, but now its off to bed.
Only 2 TDs to go!

Hi guys,

You lot must be mad (in the nicest possible way tongue out) driving those things. Thoroughly enjoyed mixing it with you guys with what I thought was good clean racing all round. Great fun watching the antics from behind gathering confidence that an overtake attempt wouldn't be met with a 'vigorous' defence and trying to work out where to get past. Much appreciated the track manners and it was a pleasure being out there with you.

Big shame about the safety car nullifying the race for half the hour and even worse for the second drivers who didn't get to race. Good that the MG driver wasn't seriously hurt although 3 broken ribs probably doesn't feel that good. Shame about the car though cry.

Finally, a very big thank you to Graham for organising the whole thing. An excellent event, undoubtedly helped loads by the good weather, and well worth the effort and money you must have put in.

This sounds like a good weekend - is there any video around that we can see?

I've got a couple of short video clips taken from the pit wall, including #89 (Andy / Guillotine?) 3-wheeling around the last bend onto the pit straight while leading the race. That must be one super-stiff car!

I've still got to get them off the camera, but I'll put them up on t'web somewhere over the weekend and let you all know.

Meanwhile, here are a few snaps: Gallery

Loved that! Do you mind if I link to it on another forum?? Nurburgring guys who've just been to spa?

Classic TVR racing must be great on its own, but having the car shake as a GT40 blast pasts you up Kemmel must be something else!! thumbup
