Hi all,

just thought some of you may be interested in this turbo timer if you are looking for one.
I got mine 3 days ago, and well i have always been baffled by the wiring on these things, but this one i got, well talk about easy to fit, it took me about 3 minutes to find out where the wires go and it works a treat. Also as you will see by the link below, it was well cheap. The only thing was i got stung by the dreded customs for £20, but this stll only made the timer about £43, plus it is also the smallest timer in the world, so can be mounted anywhere. You can ask the guy to put it down as a gift, then you shouldn`t get the custums charge. But in my opnion, it`s worth every penny.
Hope it helps some of you.

25 bucks US for shipping something that is the smallest in the world...hhahahahahh what a joke.
It is the thing I hate most about ebay.
You auction goods for a reasonable price yet the seller likes to gouge you for the shipping
I mean some people dare charge 5 bucks sometimes for stuff that would fit in an envelope with a 50 cent stamp...

It should be considered criminal...
I mean the post office and the courriers already make a profit and then sellers think they can just arbitrarily double it... or more

I sometimes do pay some silly charges when it is a private individual that actually has to go and buy a single envelope or box and make a special trip to the post office. But when a "power seller" has high shipping prices..that is silly. They are at the post office every day as part of their business and they probably buy boxes etc in bulk...

I just get enraged when I see that practice.... Ebay is for auctioning GOODa not for auctioning off shipping cost at douple the actual cost.

I just wonder if the Ebay training courses that are available actually teach this practice? hmm, maybe I should attend a seminar and see what they teach...

now here is a good place for class action lawsuits against Ebay...

There should be a check box for shiping just like there is for paypal... just click, print a bar code... take to post office and they package it and mail it and bill you for the acutal shipping. Seller just drops it off with printed bar code.... wouldn't that be great.....?

grrr
I better stop - need to calm down for my rush hour traffic jam.....

Hi,

If buying goods online regularly, whether eBay, parts suppliers etc. do what I did... get your own UPS account.

You can get one online in about 3 min. I then send the seller a label (either snail mail or as an attachment), agree to pay a couple bucks for packaging. Cuts the shipping costs by 75%!

Only once did the seller refuse and this was eBay, so I had to go along or risk bad feedback. Happy Motoring! ...Jim'85TE

if I use a courrier they charge huge for brokerage and customs..
Regular mail ( parcel post ) is the standard way to ship good economically.. i dont want to pay a premium for shipping and i dont need a courrier company to charge me to rubber stamp doccuments..

It is a real problem - much worse for Canadians...
