HELP! COOLING FANS RUNNING CONTINUOUSLY

Went to start my Griff 500 just now.

I noticed that the cooling fans are running continuously, as soon as I turn on the ignition, even before I start the engine.

It's a warm day today (22°C), but I've never experienced this before.

Any ideas, PHers?

I'd guess the otter switch has a short.
to test you can remove one wire from it to see if the fans stop.

A previous owner may have fitted a fan override switch, the one on mine is the button under the dash next to your left knee. You may have switched it on without knowing.

Sounds like your relay is stuck. Find the fan relay and give it a sharp tap with a screwdriver handle or similar. Sometimes this frees it up. Or just get a replacement and see if that fixes it. They're not expensive.
