Picked up my new toy today, and the first job is to get my driving position right. I've pulled the seat forward to (because I'm a short arse) and can reach the pedals fine. However I feel I'm that far forward it's making looking out of the mirrors a bit awkward, so I'm thinking move the pedals toward me and shove the seat back.
I've looked down at the pedal box and I can see that some adjustment can be made at the bottom of the pedal's where they are bolted through the box section on the floor, however I'm sure it won't be as simple as that so any tips would be appreciated.

Cheers

Join the club, even if you shift the pedalbox the mirrors are next to useless, all you can see is the rear wing anyway.

I'm either going to shift my rear wing up or like a few on here, get some forward mounted mirrors.

The adjustment on the pedal box is not really for leg length. It is to set up the brake/throttle/clutch pedal positions relative to each other.

As said, the mirrors are difficult to see behind and to the right of the car with.

My advice would be to drive the car for a while (and maybe do a track day too) before you change anything. If you got one with the car, have a read of the build CD too.

Have to say Steve, following you today the rear wing blocked view of tour mirrors, so do wonder what you can see from the things.

I could see your bumpers and headlight, that's about it.

The mirrors do look straight at the edge of the wing.
I have fitted the little 'blind spot' mirrors to the underside of my mirrors and can now see all i need to behind.

If I may ask OP, how tall/short are you ?

I'm in the process of researching a possible switch from my TVR to an Ultima and also suffer from the 'short arse syndrome' problem, so would be nice to know if I can reach the pedals, see out, see the mirrors etc.

Apologies if its a bit of a personal question, but us dwarfs have to stick together smile

5 foot 7 inches. Saying that it depends whether your longer in the leg perhaps. I need to get used to the car to be honest before I make any drastic modifications

If you want you could pop down to Fareham and have a sit in a GTR.
