Acceptable Service from a Main Dealer??
Discussion
Looking to see what others would do in my position...
Reserved a pre-built new car over the phone nearly two weeks ago.
Paid the deposit and was told I could have this weekend no problem.
As of Friday morning it was still looking OK but he would call later to confirm. Not that they rang to let me know it was on track - I had to call them.
No phone call came - I only received an e-mail on Friday stating my application was in a pile and it would get done in due course.
I replied requesting a delivery date but was given no response.
Called today to be told they are very busy and other customers have the same problem. Best they could offer was to deliver to me at some point next week.
I feel the service has been really sub standard considering I am parting with £15k (plus interest).
What would you do in this position:
1 - Cancel the order.
2 - Tell them I will cancel unless they discount £x from the sale price.
3 - Ignore the poor service and enjoy the car when it comes.
4 - Don't waste £15k on a shopping trolley in the first place
Thanks for reading this far!

What brand?
Abarth - You know the ones chosen as the best of the whole FIAT network!I would like to point out I bought my 100HP from a standard FIAT dealer and they were fantastic.

You could pass the car by if you wanted to make your point.
Is it a hard to come by car? Is £15,000 a very good price? If yes is the answer to both perhaps just play along, as frustrating as that may be.
List price with a px offer about £600 over book. So a reasonable deal but nothing outstanding. Is it a hard to come by car? Is £15,000 a very good price? If yes is the answer to both perhaps just play along, as frustrating as that may be.
