British couple missing on Table Mountain

Cape Town - Rescue teams are searching Table Mountain for a British couple who went missing on Saturday afternoon, SABC news reported.

The two 28-year-olds went missing in the vicinity of Maclear's Beacon.

The search was called off on Saturday night, and was expected to continue on Sunday morning.

That seems a very wierd place to get lost.

I've crawled all over the back of it and you would be very hard pressed to come to any harm unless you did something very foolish.

There are only really a couple of bits which aren't just a strong walk.

Hope they are found happy and well.

I would be extremely surprised. No robber is either going to pay for te cable car or climb for hours up the back when the same pickings can be had much more easily at sea level and with escape routes.

It's either a confusion and they are back down or they've done something silly and fallen.
