Driving Gloves
Discussion
I always imagined driving gloves to be a thing of the past, only used nowadays by lucky owners of blower Bentleys and the like to wrestle their old monsters down a leafy country lane.
Clearly I was mistaken, as prove by the gentleman I saw this morning on the M25. He was fully be-gloved doing battle with the almost untameable power of his Toyota IQ!

The old stringbacks are a bit "Partridge", but I have a subtle pair I bought a couple of years ago and they are fantastic for early morning winter hood down blasts.
Also, although I personally dislike those thin wood rimmed wheels, driving gloves are the only way to go with these IMHO.

Nice site. Definitely bookmarked. Thanks
I've a pair of fleece leather gloves with a wooly lining (no string though
) which I wear if it gets cold.
Being leather they're nice and grippy on the steering wheel and gear knob compared to fleece gloves. They're also that bit smarter when I wear a suit for visiting clients.
Not REALLY cold enough today - Perhaps the IQ driver has horribly scarred hands (or a skin complaint) and likes to keep them covered?
I find wearing gloves is better for my attention than warming the car up to the point that I'm almost soporific.. (why do people do that?).
