It's about time the money went up on these cars.
When you see what other cars are fetching, they are a complete bargain.
15k upwards for a cobra replica kit car, around 35k for the old M3 sport evos (where you sit on the wrong side and have no power), it just amazes me.

You know what Jimbo. Our wedges are far more superior than any of these other so called classics fetching a fortune. Hold on to your wedges boys as someday soon now they will be worth their weight in gold.

Couldn't agree more. I was originally looking at a Triumph Spitfire, as it was within my budget (i.e. none!) but then I realised I could buy a tatty wedge for the price of a really tatty Spitfire!

The white car in question looks to be very clean, althought the interior looks a little tatty perhaps? Seats could certainly do with some leather restoration!

I, as much as anyone would like to see the price of wedges go up. However, all i'm saying is, in the present market, this one looks unrealistically expensive.

Even taking into consideration the fact that is is white wink

I've been hearing that ever since I bought my first Tasmin in '95. Still waiting... and as you can get a Tas now for less than I paid back then they've got even cheaper (I paid £2100 as I recall). My 390SE was £6K-odd in 2000; I'd probably consider myself lucky if I could get £3K for it now. Problem is that you can pick up stuff like early-mid-90's Impreza WRX STi's with 300bhp+ and all the toys for a lot less than a Wedge: reliable power, 4 doors and no leaks. Similar economy, mind biggrin
You have to really WANT a wedge. And though there may be plenty of people wanting, posts on PH suggest that those wanting either want the moon on a stick for peanuts or they want the absolute best cars - which don't come up very often and when they do the price reflects the condition. Everyone says 'buy on condition' but few want to pay for the privilege. That £2100 Tasmin of mine, I spent about another grand and a half on it (including a full respray) and still only sold it for £2250 after a year of trying.
