I seem to have a leak from under my chim! It's right in the middle of the car! Is this a common problem and an easy fix?

yikesPlease be very careful. Dont attempt to drive the car anywhere until you have fixed the leak. You say its coming from the middle of the car, it sounds like its the fuel supply pipe which passes up and over the gearbox bellhousing and comes up to the fuel rail on the drivers side. Any leaks round here can have disastrous effects because of the hot exhaust manifolds.
I would recommend you replace all the rubber fuel hose, because if its perished in one area you can safely assume the rest of the hose will have started to perish.
Do a search on here there are plenty of threads on this subject including correct dia hose etc, good luck, Tom.

From where you're saying its coming from.. I think it's solid there... so has the solid pipe split???... if it has, it may have been flexing so you need to tie it down once fixed?.. or it could be where the rubber joins it on top of the bell housing and its running down... don't have to be purished!.. the stuff they used can split as well eek

I am in the process of repairing a similar leak, waiting for fuel hose.
Mine was leaking from the centre of the car but toward the rear axle.
It appeared to be from where the flexible hose joins to the solid (copper?) pipe. I dropped the ARB today to get a better look and the hose seems fine so it appears to be a failed jubilee clip (yes they hadn't used the proper hose clips).
Could they have put that connection in a more awkward place ?
Insane that you have to drop an ARB to access a fuel pipe connection. Why not make the solid pipe an inch or two longer so that it extended beyond the ARB. Class.

The jubilee clip will not undo and the hex head rounded off. Probably not the best thing to go at with an angle grinder so I am thinking either mole grips on the hex or a series of drill holes through the band.
