My 130i was delivered today (my dad went to get it). Has done 27,000 miles and feels like new. Interior is immaculate. A few small bits such as a wheel refurm need doing but overall looks brilliant. Options wise it has xenons lumbar and some other goodies. Engine feels immensely strong and drives beautifully. Brakes have got 50% life left and tyres are good for another 6k. I am absolutely delighted with it and think I did well price wise. Paid £8,700 private sale from a bloke who has looked after it and replaced it with a DB9!

Sorry for the awful photo but this is all I have at the moment!

Brilliant buy there. Really good deal I believe, and an M-Sport aswell. The 130i has the 6pot engine doesn't it? (Same as the 330i if I aren't mistaken)

Thanks guys. I do indeed need to give it a wash and a wax. The engine is an absolute masterpiece and feels like a pure mdivision engine. It savours every rev and feels so solid doing it. Very little inertia as well. Stunning.

Get yourself a Quaiffe ATB LSD and you have a brilliant A and B road blaster.

It is indeed, N52 straight six with around 265bhp IIRC. What was most impressive was how linear and torquey the delivery was though. I am very very impressed overall.

Oh and regarding the LSD. They're about a grand fitted aren't they? Hmmm that or warranty, that or warranty... skids or security?!

My Dads 55 plate 130i has 102,000 miles on the clock, it must be worth pennies now! Great car, good choice. When the engine gets into the upper rev range it absolutely sings and sounds like something much more exotic, it just pulls and pulls and pulls.

Very true, you get to 6rpm and think it must be over and then suddenly you get another kick of power but its all so linear. Know exactly what you mean about it sounding exotic high up in the rpm band.

Probably not but I've impressed myself or rather the car has impressed me. Thats all the matters isnt it?

In what universe is 50% of brake life 6k miles?!

Edit: read it too quickly hehe

no offence, nice car & good job on getting xenons - transforms the look

Warranty, then the LSD when you save up again. If anything goes wrong it is expensive.

I would agree with this, but to give you some confidence my Dads has had nothing go on it in 100k miles. A sample size of one yes, but impressive.

I've owned plenty of hot hatches and the 130i was by far the best of the lot. Still miss it today. In fact one of the only cars I've regretted parting company with.

I know mate was only kidding. I've come to the conclusion that cars are better than women anyway.
