The search function is pissing on my bonfire.

So posting anyway:

Where's the best place for getting a new hood folding section AND recovering the solid section.

Where's the best place to have a tonneau made up / bought.

Where's the best place to have the carpet re-trimmed / repaired.

I'm in the South West.

Can anyone give me a rough idea on prices from experience on these?

Ta smile

West Country Trimmers at Bovey Tracy. They are old school trimmers and in my eyes the workmanship is the best. Had my foot well carpets done and just last week a new hood, the quality is the best and for very good prices, full hood was £400 + the dreaded vat but well worth it. Guy is the man you need to speak too, really nice bloke and knows his stuff. Hope thats of help, take a trip down there, am sure you will see what I mean.

+1 For West Country Trimmers - Had my Tuscan roof done and my previous Chimaera carpets renewed by them, again, around the 400 mark + vat for the roof. Can't remenber how much for the carpets, I think it was about the same 4-500, don't quote me. But their work is superb, and the quality of the materials is far better than the original.

£400 fitted and made for the car, not some rubbish roof you get off the net. Trust me the quality is the best and they really go the extra mile. Take a trip down and see the work they do. Be warned though Guy is in demand and it can take some time to get booked in, I waited 3 months to get my roof done but I am really happy that I waited.

Will phone them ASAP.

Random question:

If you were getting a full respray AND a replacement roof, what order would you do it in...?

I had the same problem. I am going to take the body off mine to sort out the chassie this winter and then have a full body re-spray. I asked Guy at the trimmers what he thought as I was desperate to change my hood, he said it would be no problem as he can take the new roof off and then re fit it when the car has been painted.
Hope that helps.

That sounds like it would be best to trust Guy with the new paint, as oppose to trust the bodyshop with the new hood... biggrin
