48 hours before writing this - This was just a car I was considering as Mrs DT wanted a Zafira for the little one (with 1 enroute), We currently have a DCi Laguna which is more than capable of doing what we require of it.
Anyway, me being me decided to look on the 'Bay' and Autotrader for suitable cars.

Long story short - I ended up viewing a 528i Sport (A car I had always wanted to own). Now my car history is mainly Vauxhalls (Cav Turbo, Cav GSi's x3, Vectra GSi etc) but this car just looks right, drives right and looks excellent parked on the drive.

So:

Standard 528i Sport
Black Leather
Privacy Glass
Auto
17" Wheels
TV Screen in the roof for the little one (Thats the family car aspect!)

Currently holding it's own with 152,000 miles but with FBMWHistory, last one was Insp II less than 10k ago so i'm pretty confident in it.

I'd like to thank the people that made me bite the bullet and get one from my post in 'GG'...
I love it, anyways - it shines up well, but has a fair few stonechips on the front, but overall pretty good condition!

I'll bore you no more, So far I have 2 camera phone pics and here they are!

As things get updated and it gets cleaned i'll keep you posted - next on the list is a Bluetooth/iPod kit (Possibly a Bury?)

Very nice, the sport front end makes such a difference. Does anyone know if you can fit a front sport bumper onto an SE?

Thanks all, I'm currently toying with the idea if having a professional valet done before the winter sets in just to try and keep it nice and shiney.

Also still working on the iPod side of things but it's looking like I might head down the connects 2 route now.

I'll update with better pics soon, hopefully as the weather is meant to turn tomorrow frown

Looks great, A very early sport.

Clean the exhaust tailpipe with some metal polish and try and track down some facelift grilles and rear lights!

I was looking at the exhaust wondering if it would polish up - I just assumed it was black as normal, it may be past the point of recovery but I have some Autosol in the garage so might give it a go tomorrow.

Yea It should polish up fairly well, I bought a spare exhaust from a 6cyl model and it seemed a lot less sooted up than mine and easier to clean up..

You may need some 0 gauge wire wool, nothing thicker as it will scratch.

Yeah its all the same underneath, make sure you get all the bits to fit it when you get a new bumper though. foglights are different too.

That's not bad going, The rest will come off after a few attempts I expect.

Time for trim detailer or a bit of satin or matt black paint on that diffuser now!

That looks lovely. I currently have a black E46 323ci, and an E39 is increasingly looking like my next car.

Do you mind telling us how much you paid for that?
