Nissan Juke: What's that all about then?
Discussion
Just spent 5 minutes in the work car-park looking at a 61 plate Nissan Juke and wondering what the hell it is. Is it brave new design, or is it a car styled on a pug dog?
Those lights going up the bonnet, the funny stance, the profile, the front.

I know I'm not alone in this, although maybe a minority on PH. But I think it looks great. Funky and original and above all not a boring blob like 99% of most modern cars.

Also if you look at most modern cars, like a Focus, you'll see how tall the front of the car is (impact regs I think). They try and hide it with creases in the bonnet to make it look more sleek, but they aren't.
Nissan seemed to have embraced this, rather than tried to hide it and have come up with something unique.
I'm all for it, and I'm sure it'll gain popularity and a following because they are different.
If they removed the front lights/hid them behind the grill then I think it would look 100 times better. As it stands, I do find it a bit odd looking and have been surprised at just how many I see regularly, however I was surprised at the success of the Qashqai so that goes to show what I know about mainstream family car consumerism.

Have to agree - it may look a little different but IMHO thats no bad thing. Very brave of Nissan to move so far away from the usual box but I think it's worked and looks great! Also if you look at most modern cars, like a Focus, you'll see how tall the front of the car is (impact regs I think). I think it's lovely to see something that stands out on the road; it's so rare these days.

My Dad has just bought one of these as a second car (#1 is a Maserati Gran Turismo). I wasn't convinced at all initially (we christened it the frog) but I have to say its a great little car and the more I see it the more I warm to its quirky looks. It's cheap, spacious, comfortable, well specced and quite fun to drive. Good on Nissan for daring to be a bit different I say.
Hideous looking thing, saw one on road a few weeks back, from a distance I thought it had been in an accident (stuff/lights all over the place) then realised as it got closer it had been impacted by nothing more than the ugly stick! The Juke is nothing more than a modern Suzuki X90, ugly and pointless!
Those on here saying 'its great/different/intersting' should hang your heads in shame.
shame on you!
