New discount?

I got a finance quote a new Cooper S at weekend. Without asking, the dealer knocked £1000 from the first quote!
I was under the impression that MINI didn't do discounts? The interest rate was a bit poo at 11.%.

Is this normal now?

If you don't ask, you do not get. My advice is ask, shop around, play one dealer off with another until there is no more to get, cos that is what i did to get my FJCW.

I got about £2k off my JCW, but that was 2 and a bit years ago.

Never take MINI's first interest rate quote, find out what other deals are out there and discuss with the dealer, should be able to get a good few % knocked off if the initial quote was 11%!!

So effectively, they did not discount. The took off less than the very high interest rate will cost you.

I got a high trade in (essentially what I'd get selling my MCS private), £1k off an R56 JCW and £400 off JCW Recaro seats. Works out to about £2-2.5k off.
