I've been driving a Caterham R300 (K series) for the last couple of years as track day and country lane car. Just toying with the idea of a change - I've always fancied a Cobra, but definitely want something that's at least as quick on the track as the Caterham, and all the Cobras I've seen are show/pose cars, which is fine smile, but they were serious race cars back in the day....
Also fancy an Ultima but out of price range at the moment.

Any brilliant ideas?????

They do a reasonable Cobra as well ;-)

The T70 looks great to me (as would a GT40) but budget is more 20k than 40k

I'd love to build a GDt70, they seem to be just amazing cars. GD say you can build a 'decent' one for £35k. One day!

do it, do it!
GD T70s are excellent track toys they handle superbly. their cobras seem to go pretty well on track also.
