I have a 318d step auto that I have owned for 6 months and covered about 10,000 miles in. I love the car but the gear changes do not feel quite as smooth now as they did when I purchased the car. The car seems to hold the gear for a little longer before changing up and dosnt kick down as quickly as it used to. Has anyone else had this issue? Do I need to check any fluid levels? If so, where???
Thanks

What year is it? Model? E46 etc? Most importantly, what is the mileage?

I had the autobox and diff oil changed on my 330i touring recently and it felt much better afterwards - the missus didn't even know I was getting it done and she commented on how much smoother it felt so I know it was just psychological either smile

At that age I would be straight into a main dealer to get their opinion/diagnosis at zero cost, probably fix if required at zero cost. It has a 3 year warranty, right?
