I am looking for a pair of replacement Toyo T1Rs for the front of my Griff 500 w/power steering (255/50/R15)

Camskill normally seel for £88.60 each but currently show no stock and no delivery date.

What are people doing for front tyres at the moment?

Hi Matthew

This is a "known" problem now. I believe the only option is to mix with Bridgestones or Dunlop do both front and rear sizes if you don't want to mix n match

he may or may not have your size but i got some there last week
( as an aside, i had brand new tyres on the front and had done less than 2000 miles on them but they were worn through to the metal strands as the camber needed adjusting, i was very lucky that i did not have a blow out)

What Toyo have done for a good few years now is wait until they have a backorder for 1000 and then make a batch. (Apparently 1000 is the magic number that's viable), so as a result everytime they become available they more or less sell out instantly as they're all sold.

15" in TVR sizes is now considered marginal with the steady increse in rim size.

One option of course is to put 16"s on the front as they're marginally easier to acquire

Thanks for the replies gents. It looks like I should hopefully be able to get a set. Hopfeully there will still be some availble at the end of the month when I get paid.

I have looked at this before and I even have a pair of 16s to go on the front but I do really like the agressive 'nose down' stance the griff has with 15s on the front.

Mine has 16"s all round and it's still got the 'nose down' look..... mind you that could be why the last time I put my 'splitter' back on (for teh third time)it only lasted one trip before I ripped it off again....

Thanks for the suggestion TJS, I hadn't thought of fitting non-PAS spec tyres to the front. The is a good idea and like you say 205/55/15 are much easier to get hold of.
