He should have stayed dead. Seriously.

Not really sure why it's been out in India for 2 weeks yet is only just Premiering in the UK, but anyway...

I wasn't expecting a masterpiece, but this has to be the least funny, most predictable piece of crap I've ever watched.

Saving graces? Gillian Anderson somehow manages to look younger than when in X-Files, and very hot, Rosamund Pike is damn hot, and there is the very nice blue Rolls Phantom Coupe and an Aston Rapide.

But the rest is complete and utter turd. Avoid at all costs. In fact, to save you seeing it, here are Skully showing her ginger pussy, Pike and the Rolls:

Even the trailer appears to be a collection of jokes that have been done a billion times before, so I feared for the film.

Oh look, he's mistaken that old woman for the bad guy in disguise and it turns out she's somebody's mother. Despite being done since the dawn of cinema, that joke was in Austin Powers which is basically the same premise! How does a cliche like that get through script reviews?

Sad really because with a decent scriptwriter Rowan Atkinson could have been great but I suspect they are going for foreign markets - Mr Bean was massive in places like Czech Republic.

We're going to see this tomorrow, been looking forward to it for months. Is Bough in this one?

Seriously, have you not read above?

It's utterly terrible. Really really bad.

Don't waste your money, wait for it to come out on DVD.

The first one was terrible so I wasn't expecting much from this to be honest.

I didn't realise it had the Bough character in it.

I don't care, I'm going to see it anyway. My 8 year old has been on about it ever since we knew it was filming, and I'm not about to ruin his weekend by telling him we're not going because some blokes on a forum said it was rubbish. wink

Anyway, I sat all through Barnyard with him a few years ago. Now that really *is* rubbish. If Johnny English is even a bit better than Barnyard, I'll be happy. smile

TBH, I quite enjoyed the first one, it was reassuringly old fashioned, and you could see the jokes coming a mile away – but it was inoffensive and our kid’s loved it, too. And I didn’t mind it so much either.

I loved the first one, plenty of dads army style 'you know whats coming but its funny anyway' jokes

2nd one is...... poor, very poor
there are some genuinely funny moments, but they stem from [s]flemke's[/s] rowan's comedy actions and faces

the early freerunning scene is amusing and it's hard to decide who's looking hottest, Gillian or Rosalind (Rosalind looks better IMO but Gillian... well ITS GILLIAN ANDERSON!)

Rolls Royce was very underused, unlike the Aston in the first film.
Dont pay money at the cinema, dont pay full price for DVD, buy it cheap or get it for xmas and be amused smile

Well, we liked it. paperbag You could see the funny bits coming a mile off, but that was okay. If you approach it from the point of view of a child, it's actually very funny in parts. smile

We took our 10yr old to see it and to be honest it was daft but just honest good fun.We found ourselves chuckling nearly all the way through it.We didnt think it took itself seriously which is what made it fun.

Gillian Anderson was delish too smile

I actually enjoyed this. The film doesn't take itself seriously at all, so neither should you when you watch it. smile
