Why do people keep telling me i will have to sell it?

Paul - I had the same story on birth of our twins. I took the advice and sold a 2 prev owners, FSH, 94 chim 4.3, 18,000 miles. Took £7250 for it off David Gerald (luckily I had only paid £8k for it).
2 years later I bought a 98 chim 500, 2 prev owners, FSH, 26k miles and had to pay £15k......
under no circumstances should the fact of the babs force selling the car...

When we had kids that was the excuse to buy a cerbera!! we no longer all fitted into the wedge, days out to TVR events etc would involve taking 2 cars so the Cerbera was the obvious solution
perfect family car!!
oh and congrats also
I'm due my 3rd child in just under 2 weeks so as a 5 person family, even a Cerbera now doesn't comply

@ Arebrec - Congratulations ! I'm due my 3rd child in just under 2 weeks so as a 5 person family, even a Cerbera now doesn't comply ETA - Best of all, it's turned out to be the cheapest car we've ever owned: Bought 2009, 18k miles for £36000. Still worth £30000 at 42k miles two years later !
(Glad I didn't buy it new though, someone paid £70k for it and lost £40k in the first 18mths and 18000 miles)

Until they can fit into front facing seats, when they're 18 months - 2 years, they won't be able to go in the Cerb together as you won't fit a rear facng seat in the back. So you can take 1 out at a time in the front. This will work in the short term but trust me it will eventually drive a wedge in your relationship, it did with me and the Tuscan had to go.
On a nice sunny summers day Mrs Brummie will want you take them out and leave her in peace for a few hours. You will want to be out in the Cerb. Something has to give.
If you can put up with it for 18 months or so the Cerb, with 2 x Recaro Start seats, will become the perfect family toy. Until then you'll be walking on egg shells! Oh and if you're tall I wouldn't count on getting a child behind you. Other than on a plane, the only time I've been glad about being a shortarse at 5"8 is when my 2 year old is behind me in the Cerb. My 4 year can go in the other rear seat and Mrs WhyTwo in the front. Makes for fun family trips in the Cerb

Both my sprogs were in front facing Recaro seats at around 8 months.......My wife refused to entertain selling the Chim when our first was expected. I dutifully kept the Chim and now have to go out twice for every trip, once with the eldest and then once again with the youngest, twice the fun

My first little one arrived 8 months ago and i have been under pressure to sell - on the run up it was pretty bad, especially from the mother in law!! But...i still have the Tuscan
Problem is now my OH wants to move to somewhere bigger for number two and the cash would come in handy....
im having a hard time fending off the constant hints and feeling selfish about it!!! 
IMHO a Cerby is a great family car....the rest of the family tends to disagree.........thats where the problems will be!

Actually now I think of it the issue was the harness v the seatbelt type of seat. I think the guidance is from 15Kg's. Not sure an 8 month old would weigh that much! Assuming you have the head support and they fit without the belt causing any issues then they should be fine. I guess it's a personal choice but Mrs WhyTwo took some convincing about Recaro Start for our 2nd, he was 20 months when I got the Cerb and even now has a harness seat Maxi Cosi in the 'normal' carBrummmie said:
