HIF4 Butterfly Valve Discs ??

To All, have recently fitted K&N filters and 'AAA' neeedles to my HIF4 carbs on 1977 R/B car. I want to rebuild HIF4's and replace std butterfly valves with non-poppet valve discs; then re-tune carbs.

Does anyone have any experience of doing this - would the car then start to run-on?? OR, would an anti run-on valve need to be installed?? All advice/suggestions greatly received.

PS have also fitted Facet pump so have a working SU pump is available for sale if interested. I live near Oxford.
