Do the DVLA still wiite and confirm that you are no longer the registered owner of a car? I traded one in a couple of months back and completed and returned the green bit of the V5 but have had nothing back to confirming it. I had something from VMC asking questions about the mileage and that said they were either notified by the DVLA or the trader I sold it to.

I have recieved the V5 for the newer car.

Should I call them?

Bum - either my piece of V5, or their response got lost in the mail then I guess.

I sold my car about 3-4 weeks ago.
I just received confirmation from the DVLA in the post this morning.

If they're anything like here, they've been too busy preparing their signs for the strike today.

How does it take a week to print out a "Not to Cuts" in 48 point Time New Roman on A4 paper? Retards.

Pedantic point, but one worth putting - the DVLA have a "registered keeper" list rather than an owner list. Being on the V5 as the registered keeper doesn't mean you own the vehicle.

You can own a car without being on their list, and you can be the registered keeper without owning the car...

If they spell check it first, probably a bit longer than it takes for you to type wink
