Isaac - I'm a type I diabetic but I do know that I pee less than most. I go about 5 times a day at most, but am never dehydrated. And it's not for a want of trying - I drink diet coke like I'm trying to make it an extinct species.

15 times a day! Unless I've been on the beer and opened the floodgates I estimate I go about 4 or 5 times a day. I probably don't drink enough water most days though.

Hmmmm - Interesting - I often wondered if I Pee'ed to much or too little

Drink 8 coffees in the morning and c3 litres of water afternoon and evening.

Pee on wake up, at about Midday and then at about 4pm. When I get home the floodgates open and it seems to be about another 4 times before 10pm. Occasionally wake during the night for one too. So 6/7 times in any 24 hour period (unless I go out and 'do' 15 pints)

If I have a cuppa an hour before bedtime, I often have to get up in the middle of the night. 3 times a night must really suck, though.

Strange. Presumably you've had the finger and everything related is fine?

There is a possibility that because you're going a lot, you're weakening your muscles in the area. By weakening, I mean they're not tensing as much so becoming less strong, much like biceps may weaken through a lack of training.

If you were forced to hold, how long before you wet yourself?

When you say "pee pints", you mean piss like a race horse? That with your 4-5 hour statement would suggest you don't have a problem to me!

If you're pissing like a horse you sound normal; the quack will want to finger your ring if you feel the need to go but can't.

15 times a day seems a little extreme. I guess there isn't a set amount of visits to the toilet which would be considered normal - it all depends on your diet, exercise level, ambient temperature etc.

Your first pee in the morning should normally be yellow and then any further ones should be nearly clear if you are drinking enough fluids.

I would suggest staying away from tea and coffe as they are diuretics. Certain foods will also have the same effect.

Do you take prednisolone for your auto immune condition, in dogs pred triggers excessive drinking and peeing, it's probably similar in humans!

I'm type 2, and have a bladder the size of a blue tits.

As a result I do tend to pee quite often. Recently been peeing slowly, if that makes sense, so been off for a prostate blood test. Not got the results yet but bracing myself for a digital invasion in due course.

The 'pee' thing is interesting. I'd never had a problem 'down below' then got a problem in, of all places, Cuba. As it turned out it was the best place to be, their health side is second to none, makes here seem like third world! I had an infection which caused peeing to be bloody unbelievably painful. I was on antibiotics and taking them within minutes of seeing a lady Cuban doctor with more nail varnish than an Essex Vamp!

They were worried I may have prostate or kidney infection and if I had stayed 2 days more I would have had an ultrasound scan.
I won't say how long it took once back home in Blighty to get just seen, let alone treated.

But the point was while in Cuba they asked me 'how often do you pee?'
I replied 'When I want to go'.
'No good, no good' they told me. 'Go regularly'.

I'm 61 and never had a problem 'down below'.
They asked me had I not thought about why it is usually men of a certain age who get prostate problems?
No.
Well, you have this thing called a bladder, sitting right on top of your sex gland, the prostate, all those years...
a lot of the time probably full and pressing on the prostate, and you wonder why men of a certain age tend to get an enlarged prostate?

Doesn't mean anything is wrong because you prostate is enlarged or if one side is, but I no longer wait until I 'have to pee'...
I now go regularly - not often, but regularly - and strangely enough, just as the Cuban lady doc said to me, you'll find you will actually 'pee' too. She was right!

Don't leave it to bursting is the motto, go now. You will.

I go once, maybe twice a day depending on how much I've had to drink. 15 times would drive me crazy!
