Building Control

Have recently finished a 2 storey extension and have been chasing Building Control for a completion certificate. The young lady dealing with it says she is still waiting for 2 certificates -

1. Certificate for Megaflow Boiler - Am confused by this as they have had the Gas Safe certificate for the new gas boiler and plumber is not sure what she wants as he has never had to provide a certificate for a Megaflow before.
2. Electrical Certificate - The electrician handed in the completed ECA certificate which is a 5 page document certified by another electrician and funnily enough I received it from the council a week after he dropped it off with a planning stamp on it. Again he cannot understand why they have not accepted this and only thing he can think of was that it was not sent electroniacally.

Can anybody shed some light on the above?

Megaflow is a unvented system which the plumber needs to be qualified or approved to work on so maybe something to do with that?

Megaflo will require the Benchmark certificate completed by a certificated installer. It must also have the installers details filled in on the panel on the side of the unit. Fitment of an unvented cylinder requires the Building Control to be notified of the intention to fit prior to work commencing.

Have sorted out the electrical certificate as even though the paperwork was correct Building Control wanted to receive it electronically from the official body. Regarding the Megaflo I am still trying to sort this out. The only form I have is a Benchmark document entitled 'Mains Pressure Hot Water Storage System Commissioning Checklist' which is part of the Installaion booklet. Is this what Building Control require?
