tuneable exhaust

my tasmin had rusty crome exhaust tips so i had some new ones and decided to fit them. i undone the exhaust clamps and pulled the pipe out it was about 18" long and basically the more it went in the rear exhaust muffler the more noise it made as it didnt go through the muffler but straight through the pipe. guess how far it went in? thats it all the way and it sounds good. i love TVRs.
