E class wheel bearings

Just a heads up really.
If you've got a W210 or W211 (I'm sure other Mercs are the same) and the front bearings need replacing don't go to Merc as they will charge £200+ just for the part (new hub, so £350/£450?) where you can go to a motor factors (Euro Parts, GSF) and get a bearing kit for £48 Inc VAT.
DIY job and hardest bit is removing old bearing cases (or whatever they are called) couple of good quality drift tools are needed. Max 2 hours job.
(dont forget to clean properly, pre-pack bearings with extreme pressure lithium grease, and fully tighten main bolt before backing off and just biting it up again)
