Spotted: A blue mk1 Focus, big bonnet bulge, reg THOMA5??

I saw this mk1 Focus this morning in Twyford, Berks, which had a big bulge on the bonnet, no idea what lay beneath. The car sounded pretty fruity and the plate was something like THOMA5 althogh I'm not 100%.
The bulge was quite a particular shape although I can't quite describe it so I'm hoping someone on here can shed some light and explain?
