750 Motor Club SportsGT Fiat 1108cc engine class.
Discussion
My next ambition in life is to build my own SportsGT racer.
I have recently failed to have yet another Hillman Imp competition revival, and so i am contemplating selling all my worldly Imp goods to finance this venture.
Obvious choice was to use an Imp engine and go from there in a kinda Costin-Nathan GT historic guise.
As time went by recently i hit on the idea of a 750MC build ,and found the Fiat engined class.
I have visited the website and have looked forward to visiting a race meeting, but it hasn't happened.
I want to study the installation and the regs as they are a bit hard for to understand regarding chassis in writing.
Be nice if someone could post photos of the cars that they use in this class.
My aim is to use the complete engine tranaxle(?)gearbox from a front engine FWD (?)and install midships.
I live near Loughborough if anyone is close buy .

Thank you all.I have found the link i wanted...Getting started in 750 forum.
It seems to have lots of information for me.
Cannot understand how i missed it on the website information.
My plan is to build a monocoque tub with the rear and front bits bolted on like a Costin-Nathan GT or Spyder.Although i think a gaboon plywood chassis is a bit beyond me.
Have yet to see a "fire" 1108cc engine in situ in the donor car,so i'm running blind there..
Take it you can just plonk it in transversely.
Cannot see that clearly in the regs.
