I picked up my wishbone arms and ARB today shot blasted zinc coated and powder coated in paint code RAL 3003 so the rebuild starts now nige.

Very nice indeed. Make sure you get the special grease if you are fitting poly bushes, I really struggled till I discovered it was missing

Very nice just got mine back today too...mine are black powder coated. If you need any grease I have more of it than I need in sachets. Happy to post if you want some !

A nice job will look the business. Is the rest of the chassis the same? You mention special grease for poly bushes, can you tell me what it is. It's the sort of info that will be useful one day.

I believe it should be a silicone based synthetic grease (usually white and always very sticky), do not use any petroleum based products.

If you are going to replace the ball joints could you let me know what part numbers you are using ? I have checked the threads but just want to make sure. I gather that the latest part No from QH is a problem on the top joints but that the firstline joints are OK is that how you read it ?

im using superflex for all the front end and i got my top ball joints from racetech direct there on offer at the moment £19.95 + vat not sure about the bottom ones yet i might try ebay fiat 124 fit i think cheers nige.

Thanks for that............ Just been out and fitted the arms on one side. Very hard to get the lower swing arm back between the chassis brackets. You would think that it would go back relatively easily where it came out from.
I have fitted superflex too but have had to slightly shorten the inserts (short grind not much) probably due the the zinc coating and painting. Make sure that you do a trial fit of the inserts between the chassis brackets before you fit them into the bushes and the arms !!!!!

You shouldn't need to grind anything. The brackets that attach them wishbones to the chassis are quite soft and may need to be straightened if you've clouted them. But unless you've managed to get bushes that are actually the wrong size, it should be possible to fit them without grinding. If they seem to be just a little bit out, I'd be pretty sure it's the mounting brackets which have got bent.
