Anyone thinking about getting a TVR power rebuild ??
Discussion
Im currently trying to decided weather to get a standard rebuild or go for the 4.3 rebuild. Is it really worth the extra £3.5 K ??
Also as the title states anyone else currently in the market for a rebuild ?? I was thinking of approaching TVR power to see if they would do a group discount if say i could confirmed 4+ rebuilds at once.. Worth a try !
Post or PM if your interested .
Cheers
Andy

Dellboy my Cerbera is at TVR Power now getting a standard rebuild. Couldn't stretch to 4.3 at this time, I would have liked one though. I expect the rebuild to last way beyond the 3 years and I don't do huge millage so the 5yr warranty wasn't such an attraction although I would have liked the increase in BHP/torque that the 4.3 delivers.
To be honest I don't drive the car to hard so I don't really think I would have got the benefit of the extra £3.5K it would have cost to get the 4.3. I found the 4.0L fast ,very fast and at around 350-360BHP still way faster than the majority of cars out there.

Sorry this is late, but had my initial build around a month ago. Took it into Dom at Power yesterday for the 1000mile tappet service all I can say is wow
I went for the standard 4litre build on my Cerbera as for the extra £3.5k I couldn't warrant on UK roads (especially on a car with no traction control) so using the extra power effectively would have been more of a hard time than pure enjoyment of it!
The standard build is unreal, I went for the 4litre with decat pipe and EPROM map (added to my GGP springs and ACT silicon coolant pipes).
After driving home yesterday after given the green light by power you will be smiling all the way! 4th gear has now become by favourite the acceleration from 4k rpm is fantastic! The pull in 5th just leaves others behind!
If your worries are the extra cash and is it worth it all I can say is Powers engine are super so I'm sure the 4.3 is great but with the 4litre you will by no means be disappointed especially if your current engine is giving you grief!
