Hi all, just bought a nice S Type 3.0 V6 manual. It is very well specc'd with voice activation & hands free phone, but the handset has gone missing & I wish to replace it. Can anyone please advise on the model number so I can start looking for one please? I believe it is a Motorola, can anyone confirm that?

Many thanks,

Brook.

Getting rare and expensive. I had a StarTAC 130 all boxed up that I owned new in 1997 or 8 and sold it on eBay recently for £150 - I was surprised at this and asked the bidder why he wanted it so badly. Turned out it was for his S-Type and probably added 10% to it's value biggrin

Watch out though, I've seen dedicated Jaguar units so you may need a special version or firmware for it to work properly.

ETA - The StarTAC is GSM900 only, so won't work with Orange. It's also hilariously dated. I seem to recall that if you want to send an SMS message you can't pull the number out of your contacts, you have to KNOW the number you want to send to. It predates mass adoption of SMS messaging. Still a cool looking phone though.
