Jump starting another car with the Cerbera

I'm probably being super paranoid here, but given the Cerb's rep for temperamental electrics i thought its worth a check..

A friend of mine's car is stuck in the car park , its been sat for months so the battery is probably very flat..

I was planning to get a set of jump leads and just charge his battery for a few mins and then d/c before cranking his car to prevent any issues with 2 alternator running at the same time.. ??

Not worth the risk?

I reckon you'll be ok.
I had to jump start Ridds Cerbie last year with mine. They were both fine after.




Although thinking about it.....
Some months later ive had a new battery and alternator but probably a coincidence??

I often use the Cerbera to jump start others - no problems at all. Use the positive off the battery and then clamp the negative to the engine block - easier than removing the panel. You need to ensure you have clamps that will fit on the battery terminal through the gap in the panel, and that they're thick enough.

I even had to jump start a friend's 997 Turbo Cabriolet when he returned from the 'Ring a few years ago - wish I'd got a picture but no-one would have believed which was jumping which!!

There will be no problem with having two alternators running, so I don't see why you would quickly disconnect.

Remember they are both 'behind' batteries
