Never been much of an Ibanez fan but that is quite quite beautiful apart from the white strip. Natural wood gets me every time (

I don't play bass too often but I had a go on a mate's Rickenbacker once and it was lovely to play. Neck was absolutely sublime and it was so easy to move around on. Tone was great too.
Bloody hideous though.

This, I have had a Masquarader 6 stringer from new in 1976 but never a Shergold bass because I was changing course when they came out.with smooth wound strings for maximum pino palladino effect
Prior to that had an L series P Bass and a mid 60's Fender VI Bass, would probably kill to have either of those two exact instruments back today ( not just for the market value they were brilliant )

There was I thinking Shergold are a relatively unknown guitar brand 
I bought a Meteor on an absolute whim on eBay about 7 years ago and was that impressed, I bid and won a Masquerader which I still haven't restrung or altered as it is pretty unplayable. It'll be used one day
As basses are concerned, I don't have a Shergold bass but a Washburn. The sound isn't the best by a long stretch but it's easy to play and was cheap to buy. However, I've always been a fan of the good old Fender 'P' Bass

However, there is only one bass guitar for me and its the venerable Fender Jazz.
'The' rock bass preferably played through an Ampeg rig.
My favourite bass of all time is my ACG Harlot Singlecut. Because it plays incredibly well, it sounds fantastic and it was made in the UK too! Low pass filters are the way forward for bass preamps. They're one of the things that give Wal their signature sound, and we all know how sought after they are. My ACG sounds quite a bit like a Wal anyway, with it's big humbuckers, mahogany body and filter based preamp. What a star! I'd never let it go.
It's in the middle of this picture. The Status Graphite Series II on the left was another amazing bass I used to own.
I also picked up a Zon Sonus today, which is incredibly light and plays brilliantly. They're rare in the UK, so to have an expensive Sonus custom like this is a real privilege!
I also love this Status Empathy that I came close to buying a couple of years ago...
