Disclaimer: I do not have a Tele but have a mate with one and I want it. I also do not have a proper LP but a £200-ish copy and I want a proper one.

Is this a thread on the favourite guitar we own, or our favourite guitar in the world full stop?
If the former, then it is my Charvel 650XL. I have 10 guitars ranging from Fender strats to Jackson flying Vs, but the Charvel beats the lot.
If the latter, then it would have to be some kind of super rare, super special Gibson les Paul Custom, in transparent blue

I'd love my 59 Tele back but still have this Shergold as consolation, it's a brilliant guitar with split coils that can be single coil / out of phase / humbucker and any combination thereof.
Yammy bass is not playing live anymore but still recording much against it's wishes.
Also a Strat and Tele copy but no pics of these.

No just a simple three way for the pickups, plus single / out o phase / humbucker on eachI swapped a Tele Custom Delux that had LP type controls for it because changing voices was so much simpler and the neck is greased lightening.

I'm going to be generic and say a Tele. In natural wood of course.
Light, plays lovely, looks lovely. Compare that to my bloody LP which ways a ton. Only things I don't like are the tonal knobs.

The best one owned and played was an Ibanez JS edition: smoky grey quilted maple top, ebony 'board sans markers, mahogany body, locking nut, MOP binding to both neck and body. Utterly delicious. Sold for financial and talent reasons.
I love my current PRS.

Beautiful to look at, brilliant finish, unusual shape that stands out from the norm and by all accounts play very well.
(I've not play a mocking supreme but do own an 80's BC Rich that I love and have played cheaper 'birds so confident it'd sound lovely )
Ps. does seem slightly odd to me that most on these forums drive very niche, unusual, exotic or rare cars yet people generally seem to pick fairly obvious choices as their favourite guitars.
Or maybe even:

Tanglewood TW15-NS left handed.
Scored it off ebay about 5 years ago for £108 including shipping because the back has a crack in it. Doesn't make too much of a difference to the sound, and I was a bit shocked when I googled it to find out how much it was worth. It's a lovely playing guitar, really low action, and nice and loud when needed. It's the one that's always out of the case.
