New Chariot - Audi S3 Black Edition

Well, after years of driving around in my reliable but dull Mk5 Golf i've gone and bought something that genuinely gets me excited. It may not be a tail out VXR8 or a super precise Elise but as a cross country, well equipped, overtaking machine i absolutely love it. The added bonus being that 'er in doors is equally smitten. I don't pick it up for a couple of weeks but here are some phone snaps i took when i signed on the dotted line.

I absolutely love these! Black wouldn't be my choice... tones it down imo but hey, it looks gorgeous and with a remap, they go very well too!

Yeah i know not quite a razor edged beast but i love it all the same. With it being our only car, it's important that it's a realistic proposition for the Mrs also.

I had a MKV Golf and I agree with you. Very nearly dull enough to stop the world spinning. Perfectly agreeable though.

S3 sounds like a cracking all rounder.

Glad you like it. I must admit, having bought it without seeing it in the flesh (we test drove a pre-facelift 2008 S3) i did the typical "i'm 3 years old and have just seen my new bike on christmas morning" jump for joy!

The black grill you mentioned is teamed with the graphite alloys, piano black interior inserts, privacy glass, Bose Technology/Navigation package and really sets off the car. Very pleased as you may have gathered.

I fear that the next 2 weeks may seem like 2 years.

The photos are at Tonbridge Audi but it had just been delivered from East Kent Audi. I'm in the Tonbridge area so pretty local. It's a 6 Speed Manual, didn't like the S-tronic. In a car that is not exactly tail-out hang onto your pants, the S-tronic was a step to far removed.
