Hi, greets from Germany

i got a new carpet-Set for my Tuscan from Lakewell in Belgium.
i think to get the new carpets in, i have to remove the seats and the center console(easy job).
But how can i get the console out..where the Radio is?
Any Tips for me? do i have to remove the whole Dashboard with steering wheel?...

maybe somebody can post a DIY step by step...

Centre console is easy. You will find a screw under the rear air vent and possibly screws (allen key head) on either side roughly nest to the driver and passengers knee position. Undo the screws and lift console out unplugging the multiplugs for the heater and and window switches as you go.

I can't help with the dashboard

Radio pod has a long thread and bolt (10 or 12mm) that you will be able to get to once you remove the centre section. Its essentially just in front of the ash tray. You'll have to move all the electrical gubbins first to get at it. Oh and remove the headunit as well to hold the top with a spanner or socket.

Hi Matrix those are exactly the same colour as my carpets! Except for mine have turned a strange green shade inplaces.

Can you tell us what the quality of the carpets is like and the fit when your are done. Have been considering lakewell.

Would be interested in the costs and ease of doing this, next job after the 12k.

not cheap but the Quality is superb..far better than the orginal...thats what i expect of a 370€ (ex Tax) Carpet Kit. i check only the floor mats for now and they are 100% same size.
Lakewell send me samples of the Carpets and bindings for free after request...
so everybody can check the quality and color matching before ordering. I request blue and grey..send me 3 different blues and a 100% matching grey after sending pictures of the tuscan.

now i have to check how the radio goes out, and where are the fixing points of the center console (tray+Radio) i hope its a easy job...

hope you guys can give me some feedback of your experience.

will add some pictures of the finished job.

after a few hours this sunday, i remove the Dashtop..and see..its imposible to remove the Dashtray without removing the whole steering assembly...great.
so i remove the carpets carefully, and puzzle the new Carpets later back into place.
