Her indoors has put my Griff key fob through the hot wash cycle.Not surprisingly, it no longer works and on investigation most of the electronic board has been soap sudded away.

I can get in through the [edited out] and so it's not a complete disaster.

Any body know how I can get a replacement?

I've heard of taking the car for a spin, but never the the keys.
If you are looking for sympathy, look in the dictionary, It's between sh*t & syphillis, only joking, I'm sure that someone will be able to help, there is a place that replaces all sorts of fobs, just can't think of the name, I'm a bit washed out at the moment, HA! HA!

Have you not tried cleasning with ambersol or similar, then putting new battery in. Worked when i dropped my phone in the sink...

Been a bit tied up (with work!) last few days so late replying.

Unfortunately the hot wash seems to have dissolved some of the electronic bits, so no ammount of TLC will do it any good.

However have followed up the leads and am well on way to getting a replacement.Maybe even two!

Hey Trundle can you let me know how you fair with the replacement fob as I don't have a spare at the moment and should anything happen ie a close encounter with a washing machine then I am in big do do's.Cheers JT

Er...anbesol is a lidocane based anesthetic. You could put it on sun burn I guess but that might be classified as torture (until the anesthetic kicks in)
