I'm having a good month so far!

This shot won this month's TVR Car Club 'Picture this' competition and is in the Sprint magazine

TVR Tuscan S by Martin Price Photography, on Flickr

And this shot (only a snap, but for some reason is my most viewed picture on Flickr) is being used in this weekend's Wall Street Journal as part of a fashion story:

Muddy Defender! by Martin Price Photography, on Flickr

I've also noticed a couple of richardpardon's shots in this month's Photography Monthly magazine. Anyone else on here made it into print this month?

Worst 'My photos are in the WSJ post. EVER!!!!'

Out of interest, where do your views on Flickr come from?

I'm curious as to how they get more and more hits and move up the ranking (so to speak)? How does that all work?

Most of the views come from keyword searches, either through Flickr or through Google searches. I only usually put my images in a handful of groups on Flickr and enter some appropriate keywords and leave it at that. I don't go chasing high numbers of views or comments on my pics as some people on there seem to.

I nearly didn't put the Land Rover image on Flickr as its not a good pic, but I was getting some abuse for it always looking so clean in my photos that I thought I'd better post one of it muddy. Am now rather glad I did as the art director of WSJ found it through Flickr (though I'd prefer her to have chosen a picture that I'm actually proud of).

Well done Martin. That Defender pic is great, just how they should look.

Ok, not exactly intp print - although I'm waiting to hear if there's any interest in it, I did make it to the news section of PH.

Guessing you didn't really mean prints but here's a couple of high ISO snaps from a local arts venue where I've presently got 20+ long exposures hanging.

Then there's this, my first cover. The mag's out today, hence last night's cheeky bump.

It's followed up on the inside with an 8-page portfolio and interview.

Also, this month's Digital SLR magazine (also out today) has a multi-page feature on long exposures, written by me for its series "The Rules". Not seen it yet but I submitted quite a few images for that too, both final shots and behind-the-scenes. Be interested to see how it all looks in print.

Been a busy few weeks, going to bed now.

Nice shots Andy, glad you got yourself an exhibition. Seems to be a week for it - I've just had news from the Royal Horticultural Society of a 2nd place in their national photo competition in the 'Abstracts' section. Very pleased, especially as the photo was taken on a Nikon compact. Results will be displayed on Nov 1st.

Seems cheap Nick, in a good value way - ordered smile

On the off chance you're doing the fulfilment yourself and #13 is knocking around your spare room, it's my lucky number...

not sure if this counts, but I'll claim it anyway!

Shoot for Motorola Middle East, launch of their new Razr, purely for the social media campaign.

Other than headshots for a mates website, first 'proper' job.

So much more fun than the day job frown

Not sure if those without the book will be able to view.
