Is it possible to get the blade type of wipers for a Mk1 MX5 (uk spec if it makes a difference)??

I have some Valeo blade wipers on the '5. They're very good and extremely quiet, but because of the curve of the windscreen the nearside blade doesn't sit flush with the surface of the glass when not in use. They're bendy enough, but don't have the weight behind them to keep the tips down on the screen.

They're OK mid-sweep or at any sort of speed, but it's slightly annoying to see when the car is parked. But I'm OCD about little things like that... hehe

The bosch aerotwins are great. Just fitted them to my 2003 svt and are a huge upgrade over standard blades. £20 delivered from the 'bay.....

Try and get into Costco. I've got their Good Year blades on my MK1. £6.99 each. Very good, I've fitted them to the rest of the cars in the family.

Since about 2003 I've been forking out for PIAA silicone blades for everything. Silent & they seem to have a 'rainex' effect on the screen, so that droplets bead & run off el quicko & they are excellent. However, I'm starting to think that at £35 a punt they are a bit extravagant. rolleyes
