What a lot of oil....
Discussion
Err.
Nope. loctite on the splines wouldn't be a good idea.
When you remove a prop you slide it off the splines and remove it from the gearbox. The outer shaft makes a seal with the gearbox rear oil seal. if no shaft then the oil runs out the back of the box!!
ETA
If you are talking about the diff end, then yes oil is known to be able to leak past the splines and drip from the pinion nut on the diff. The fix is to replace the front pinion seal torque up the pinion nut and then use silicone around the nut and end of the pinion shaft before replacing the prop. You will need a big torque wrench to replace the pinion nut!
Sorry dont want to come across like I am teaching you to suck eggs. If it is the rear you are talking about just ignore my comment about the gearbox end.

Pay attention please, no flange on the gearbox end. Loctite on the sliding spline could be interesting
Should have said What a lot of diff oil....
Maybe just clean it all up and try your silicone idea without even disturbing the big nut, although I do have a nice big torque wrench (Sierra hub nuts on the S3).
Would you happen to know the torque setting should I go for seal replacement aswell?

Not sure about the settings and not sure if the flanged nut is also assembled with a collapsable spacer which will need some immense torque. From memory though their is a large washer at the back side of the nut. if it is only a weep then packing the cleaned and degreased area with silicone sealant will probably do the job.
