FM4 - car help

I have been having a look at this website that somebody has posted in another thread

It list the cars you can get to do with what level you are and cars which will go over to FM4.

Do you need to own the car in your garage for it to go into FM4?
How do you get the cars from the list above onto FM4?

I was wondering about this. My Forza 3 game install and saved game is on my old HD and I was planning on installing Forza 4 on my new one. I was hoping all the data would be linked to my Gamertag so I wouldnt have to transfer the data. Any thoughts on this?

Must be on the same HDD, sorry. And you need to own them.

First get a decent usb flash memory stick up to 16GB, I use a Sandisk cruzer blade, put in xbox, format it in the memory settings and then you can transfer the forza 3 info to the stick, leave it in the machhine or transfer to the HDD, then when you inport your FM3 profile in to FM4 you will be able to get the access to the selected cars from FM3.

I'm thinking FM4 will use your achievements for levels on FM3 for triggering the gift cars rather than the save game file, so you may be lucky?

As far as I know you don't have to own the driver level cars, but you do need the FM3 savegame present on your HDD.

It's annoying though for the 'owned' cars list as the only car I'm missing is the 69 Camaro Unicorn, and got no chance of getting one of those any time soon

ps. It's worth noting that it will only give you the FM4 version of the car, not the actual one from your FM3 garage.

I've got the Camero unicorn, i don't know if it will be possible but i will happily try to gift one in FM4
